Role Overview

We are seeking a Director of Institutional Sales to lead capital raising for RoboStrategy across institutional and private wealth channels. This is a cornerstone hire for us: you will have the opportunity to lead the distribution effort and shape how it is built, with senior leadership fully behind you. It is a raising role from day one, so we are looking for someone who arrives with deep, current relationships across RIAs, family offices, and private wealth platforms, and can be in front of allocators in their first weeks.

You will own relationships with family offices, institutional allocators, RIAs, and independent broker-dealer advisor teams, and turn today’s founder-led investor conversations into a repeatable, professional capital-raising process. RoboStrategy trades on Nasdaq, so the investors you cover can allocate the moment they are convinced. Your mandate is to build that conviction and convert it into flows. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), work closely with the CEO and COO, and play a central role in scaling the distribution function as the platform grows.

What You’ll Do

• Raise from day one. Activate your existing network of allocators immediately, while building and managing a named-account list of family offices, multi-family offices, institutional investors, RIAs, and IBD advisor teams with a clear coverage plan for each.

• Own the full cycle. Drive every step from first meeting to allocation: qualify interest, run follow-up processes, coordinate portfolio-manager access, and close.

• Build the diligence engine. Create and maintain the materials sophisticated allocators require: DDQs, presentations, data requests, and RFP responses, so every process starts from a professional baseline.

• Cover RIA investment committees. Run structured processes with the investment committees of large RIAs and aggregators, where a single approval can direct many client portfolios.

• Open platform doors early. Initiate and manage relationships with broker-dealer home offices and platform gatekeepers, laying groundwork for future approved-list and model placements.

• Operate compliantly. Work hand-in-hand with legal and compliance on communications involving a listed security, including MNPI and wall-crossing protocols for institutional conversations.

• Be the market’s voice internally. Relay allocator feedback, objections, and competitive intelligence to leadership to sharpen positioning and product strategy.

Core Qualifications

• Proven, quantifiable track record of raising capital and driving flows: you can walk us through the assets you raised, from which channels, and how.

• Direct experience raising for publicly listed funds (ETFs, closed-end funds, listed trusts) and scaling fund AUM, not only private placements.

• Deep, current relationships across the RIA and private wealth channels: family offices, MFOs, RIA aggregators, IBD advisor teams, that can be activated from day one.

• 7+ years in capital raising or distribution at an asset manager, fund platform, or financial institution.

• Fluency in how allocators evaluate managers: diligence processes, investment committees, portfolio construction, and fee dynamics.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent a thematic, research-driven strategy credibly to sophisticated investors.

• FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or ability to obtain promptly); CFA or CIMA a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• A closer with a builder’s mentality: energized by leading a build-out, creating process where none exists, and being measured on flows.

• Has scaled a fund before and knows what the journey from launch to multi-billion AUM actually requires.

• Genuine conviction in robotics and frontier technology, and the ability to articulate a long-term thematic thesis without a script.

• High judgment and discretion with sensitive information in a regulated, publicly listed context.

• Self-directed and fast-moving; treats founder time as scarce and shows up with pipeline, not questions.

  • Comfortable using AI tools to raise the ceiling on personal output: research, meeting prep, follow-ups, and CRM discipline.
