Director of Recruitment and Student Engagement

The Director of Recruitment and Student Engagement provides strategic leadership for student recruitment, enrollment outreach, and student engagement initiatives that support enrollment growth, retention, and student success. This position develops and executes a comprehensive recruitment strategy while fostering a vibrant campus environment through student programming, leadership development, and co-curricular experiences. The Director collaborates across academic and student affairs to ensure a seamless student experience from prospective student through graduation. The Director of Recruitment and Student Engagement's work hours may include evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on special events. This individual must be able to drive and travel independently, with possible overnight travel. The Director of Recruitment and Student Engagement reports to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge of recruiting and outreach best practices.
  • General marketing and social media skills preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Job Description:

The Director of Recruitment and Student Engagement:

  1. Develops, implements, and executes a comprehensive recruitment plan designed to achieve annual enrollment goals.
  2. Plans and implements recruitment activities for school districts and external service programs, including on-site activities.
  3. Develops and manages communication strategies for prospective students and families throughout the recruitment cycle.
  4. Works with the College marketing company to prepare and distribute recruitment materials for prospective students.
  5. Creates recruitment materials for prospective students.
  6. Coordinates and contributes to the success of campus visit programs, on-site and virtual, for prospective students and parents.
  7. Oversees the planning and implementation of campus-wide student activities, traditions, leadership programs, and special events.
  8. Supports and advises the Student Government Association and student organizations.
  9. Assists in providing resources and opportunities for students to explore career and degree options, including but not limited to workshops, seminars, and career fairs.
  10. Assists with engagement activities and commencement ceremonies.
  11. Develops and implements a Clarendon College Bulldog Ambassador program.
  12. Uses the funds of the institution allocated to the budget of the department or special projects effectively and efficiently.
  13. Works on standing and ad hoc committees of the College, as assigned.
  14. Supports College activities and special events through attendance and/or participation.
  15. Complies with all college policies, rules, and regulations.
  16. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and/or the President.

Position Available: Immediately until filled. Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
