Director Of Rowing

Phillips Academy seeks a Director of Rowing to lead its crew program. Phillips Academy is a vibrant learning community of more than 1,100 students from around the United States and the world, with outstanding academic, co-curricular, and residential life programming.

The Director of Rowing will lead the program in all facets and set the vision for both the girls' and boys' rowing programs. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the coaching staff.
  • Communicating with community members, including students, parents, and external partners.
  • Managing the boathouse facility and all equipment associated with the program, ensuring that training and competition are safe and optimal for our athletes.
  • Partnering with Academy leadership to explore the possibility of summer and auxiliary programming and leading that programming if developed.

This role will be primarily focused on rowing and may be a faculty or coaching role, depending on the background of the successful candidate. Possible additional roles may include participation in residential, academic, and/or co-curricular programs.

This is a benefits-eligible, 12-month position.
