Founded in 2017, Hello Neighbor works to improve the lives of recently resettled refugee families by matching them with dedicated neighbors to guide and support them in their new home. Weve expanded from our mentorship program to now include refugee resettlement services, family service programs, a national program supporting other refugee and immigrant nonprofits around the country. This is an in-house, limited-term, part-time, non-exempt position at our Pittsburgh, PA office in Larimer through September 30, 2026. We are currently on a hybrid work schedule of 9am-5pm Monday through Friday; in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.Reports To: Arrival and Integration Services SupervisorKey Responsibilities:Prepare files according to USCRI standardsDigitize paper files and organize as directed by program managersUpdate case notes based on information supplied by program managersPrepare paperwork for signatures as neededKeep a database of present and missing documentation by caseUpdate Salesforce as neededParticipate in regular supervision meetings and relevant staff meetingsAdhere to Hello Neighbors confidentiality guidelines and ensure the appropriate handling of sensitive informationOther duties and support of Family Health Services department as assigned within the scope of position expectationsPreferred Qualifications:One year of related and/or applicable work experience especially with documentation, databases or materials in multiple languagesDemonstrated ability to work with refugee and immigrant communities effectively idealComfort navigating social services systemsExperience working with interpreters highly valuedBilingual or multilingual in priority language preferred (Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Swahili, French, Spanish, Haitian-Creole, Rohingya)Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, characterized by compassionate, courteous, cordial, and professional interactions with diverse colleagues, program members, and the communityPossesses cultural competencies, encompassing knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors relevant to the communities servedThorough understanding of issues pertinent to refugees and immigrantsAble to cultivate excellent relationships with clients, staff, and partnersExhibits adept task management, including priority setting, meeting deadlines, and efficient time scheduling for multiple responsibilitiesDigital literacy and the ability to learn new softwareFlexibility and ability to work nights and weekends as necessaryEffective collaboration with others through cooperative effortsWillingness to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environmentAlignment with and support of Hello Neighbors core valuesAbout You:Energetic, motivated, and hardworkingAbility to take direction and work independently, as well as collaborativelyAbility to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a timePassion for community building, refugee and immigrant rightsCultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgroundsExcellent writing, communication, and organizational skillsLiving migration experience and fluency in other languages a plusAdditional Details:This is a part time, non-exempt, in-house position at our Pittsburgh office in the Larimer neighborhoodClearances required: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal History Clearance (PA Act 23 & Act 24); Mandatory Reporter and/or PSEA training may also be required depending on job requirementsApplications are accepted on a rolling basisSelected candidates will be invited to interview on a rolling basisAnticipated start date: July 15, 2026The successful candidate must be currently authorized to work in the United States.Salary information $18 per hour, 20-29 hours/weekEqual Opportunity EmployerAt Hello Neighbor, we are committed to being an inclusive workplace where diversity in all its forms is championed.
