Apply NowEnsure efficient material movement across the quarry by hauling loads between excavation, processing, and stockpile areas while maintaining equipment in safe working condition.
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas;
Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to:
Assessing risks before starting tasks;
Only performing authorized activities;
Utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communicates with load and unload areas, hauls materials safely to designated areas and maintains safe speed and observes all plant traffic controls;
Performs walk-around pre-trip safety inspections. Identifies any safety problems or concerns and reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor including near misses and any other areas where safety can be improved;
Performs maintenance activities to ensure haul truck are maintained to the required standard and assist with other plant maintenance activities as required including site housekeeping or cleanup activities;
Other duties as assigned.
Relationship with other jobs:
This position will work with Operators and management. They will communicate and work together to ensure the customer's needs are met in a safety and constructive manner.
Pay Range: 27.50-29.75 per_hour, General Benefits: Benefits are typically provided through the union under a collective bargaining agreement.
Job Requirements
Required Education :
High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Two - to - three (2-3) years prior experience operating a very large, heavy-duty type dump-truck used to transport loads over rough terrain;
Proven safety record - Amrize US prioritizes SAFETY above all;
Basic computer skills;
Microsoft Office;
SAP.

Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee will frequently be required to walk on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently shovel for 3 minutes with an 8 lb. shovel, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places: fumes or airborne particles, confined space, outside weather conditions, low lighting, artificial lighting, and explosives. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
