CDL Driver / Warehouse Forklift Operator

Location: Red Diamond | Moody, AL Schedule: MondayFriday Hours: 8:30 AM5:00 PM

We're looking for a dependable, safety-focused CDL Driver who is equally comfortable working in a warehouse environment. This hybrid role combines local driving responsibilities with warehouse forklift operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and takes pride in keeping products moving safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do:

As a CDL Driver / Warehouse Forklift Operator, you'll support both transportation and warehouse operations by:

  • Transporting coffee and tea products between Red Diamond facilities throughout the day
  • Delivering coffee, tea, and allied products to local warehouse locations on a regular schedule
  • Operating a stand-up forklift, turret truck, and stock picker to move and store products
  • Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
  • Pulling, staging, and replenishing inventory to support customer orders
  • Using handheld and onboard scanners to process inventory transactions
  • Completing DOT logs, inspection reports, and required transportation documentation (mileage, drive time, routes, etc.)
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting maintenance concerns
  • Following all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
  • Supporting warehouse operations as needed to ensure efficient product flow

What We're Looking For:

  • CDL Class A license with a good driving record
  • At least 2 years of experience operating commercial tractor-trailer vehicles
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Warehouse and forklift experience strongly preferred
  • Stable work history and strong attendance record
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of tractor-trailer operation and air brake systems
  • Understanding of DOT regulations, inspection requirements, and driver logs
  • Ability to safely operate an 18-wheel commercial vehicle, including in tight spaces
  • Knowledge of forklift operating procedures and warehouse practices
  • Basic reading, math, and documentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Food Safety Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures products and materials are handled and stored according to SQF Code 11.4.1 Staff Engaged in Food Handling and Processing Operations and Code 11.6.1 Receipt, Storage, and Handling of Goods.
  2. Ensures shipping and receiving procedures follow SQF Code 11.6.5 Loading, Transport, and Unloading Practices.
