Job Description

We are working with a large, full-service, New York law firm representing a diverse range of clients across the country and around the world. The firm is looking for a junior associate, with at least two (2+) years of e-discovery project management experience at a law firm or with an e-discovery provider, to manage and run e-discovery projects for its active litigation group. The role will encompass project management, document review, litigation case strategy and development, trial preparation, and trial work responsibilities.

Candidates must have strong Relativity, document review, and analytical skills, including extensive experience creating and executing substantive Relativity searches (as opposed to dealing with metrics or monitoring) and advising others concerning them. They must also have extensive technical document collections and data management experience, i.e., they should themselves have IT capabilities and be able to work with internal IT departments and clients to assist with the technical aspects of searching, collecting, and transferring large volumes of data. They should have experience working in consultation with IT vendors and Epiq, in particular, to set up the specifications for collections. They should also be able to set up work spaces; set up field layouts; process documents; and load document productions for delivery to third parties, having redacted all metadata, as necessary, for privilege. Candidates must work well with others and be capable of managing multiple assignments.

A JD degree and New York Bar Admission, in good standing, are required for the position. The role is a hybrid in-person and remote role. The firm will clarify the in-office requirement. The work is expected to extend through the end of August. Compensation offered will be $150,000 - $170,000/yr., depending upon skills and experience. The firm offers a benefits package, about which it will supply the detail, as well as salary increase and other opportunities, over time.
