Travel for this position would be for checking in with the team, meetings with other managers, trainings, conferences, meetings at client sites in collaboration with sales or engineering.

Job Description

Experienced manager responsible for overseeing a team of Engineers, support of the company’s information technology and the

delivery of a variety of projects.

Duties include hiring and training qualified engineering staff, developing and staying within the IT budget, staying

within project budgets and timelines for completion, supporting and developing the staff.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

 BA or BS, or relevant curriculum/certification/experience

 Additional required qualifications:

Recognized industry certification(s) that are commensurate with requirements of job.

Thermo University Management diploma

Additional preferred qualifications:

Microsoft or Cisco or VMWare Professional, Expert or Engineer Level certifications

PMI Project Management Professional

Typically, 11+ years of industry experience.

Proven Track Record: 2+ years as Senior IT Team Lead or equivalent

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Responsibilities:

Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology of domain expertise. Maintain advanced level of professional and technical

knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, benchmarking best practices, and participating in

professional associations.

Developing detailed plans for new designs and products

Making determinations for equipment, staff and training needs

Proposing project and program budgets

Hiring and supervising staff

Leading research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.

Checking their team’s work for technical accuracy

Ensuring the validity of methods used by staff

Coordinating work with other managers and staff.

Oversees software licensing management
