Emergency Center Technician

University Health is currently seeking an Emergency Center Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a reputation for exceptional service and patient care.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports and records direct and indirect patient care data.  Assists Trauma Resuscitation Unit staff with patient preparation and treatment procedures, both acute and non acute illnesses or injuries.  Takes patients' vital signs and transports patients to other locations as required.  Performs the functions of the Unit clerk including but not limited to clerical office work essential to the operations of the Trauma Resuscitation Unit. Requires good working vocabulary of general, technical, medical, and scientific terms. Performs assigned duties promptly and efficiently.  Promotes positive working relationships with co-workers, other Health System employees, patients, and the general public, in the spirit of Guest Relations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma, its equivalent, or higher degree is required. Minimum of one year experience in an ICU or ER setting required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card. ACLS desired
