Join a growing emergency medicine program serving the expanding Fort Myers market through a community hospital and multiple freestanding emergency departments. This opportunity offers a diverse clinical experience, strong physician leadership, and the ability to practice in one of Florida's fastest-growing regions.
Physicians will be credentialed across multiple locations, providing a mix of community hospital and freestanding emergency medicine experience while enjoying the benefits of living and working in Southwest Florida.
Position Highlights

Compensation Potential
- Hospital Shifts: Approximately $300/hour
- Freestanding ED Day Shifts: Approximately $240/hour
- Freestanding ED Night Shifts: Approximately $260/hour
- $50,000 Sign-On Bonus
Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- 12-hour shifts
- Full-time schedule consists of:
- 12 shifts per month
- 144 clinical hours per month
- Schedules generally released approximately 90 days in advance
- Physicians typically receive 2-3 days off when transitioning between day and night schedules
- Opportunity to work across multiple emergency medicine environments
Leadership Opportunity Available
Medical Director - Freestanding Emergency Departments
For physicians interested in leadership development, an opportunity is available to oversee operations across two freestanding emergency departments.
Additional Compensation
- $8,000 monthly leadership stipend
- Approximately $96,000 annually
- Continue clinical practice while serving in a leadership role
