Emergency Response Coordinator Duties

The successful candidate will perform the full range of Emergency Response Coordinator duties. Such duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate NRC Emergency Response Coordinator and Continuity Programs across HQ, regions, and interagency partners; ensure alignment with national response structures and sustain operational readiness.
• Develop, maintain, and conduct responder training and regional interface programs; identify gaps and provide guidance to standardize interfaces and improve effectiveness during incidents, drills, and exercises.
• Lead and support interagency agreements and national emergency planning initiatives; participate in negotiating and refining agreements with Federal and State agencies and serve as liaison to national emergency planning entities.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate multi-agency drills and HSEEP-aligned exercises; integrate lessons learned into program improvements, training enhancements, and updated response procedures.
• Prepare response related concept of operations and interagency correspondence; monitor evolving national directives and recommend actions to NRC leadership.
• Support Operations Center readiness and incident participation; maintain qualifications, provide technical guidance, and manage special projects that advance NRC Incident Response and Continuity programs.
