Event Sales Specialist Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of sponsorship, media, conference, or event sales experience
  • Demonstrated quota attainment and proven measurable sales performance
  • Full-cycle sales experience, from prospecting to closing enterprise contracts valued at in the tens of thousands
  • Experience selling to senior-level decision-makers, including VP, C-suite, and marketing leadership
  • Strong prospecting, closing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Stable career history with evidence of strong tenure in previous roles
  • Hunter mentality and a demonstrated ability to build new business

Event Sales Specialist Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience with CRM systems, reporting tools, and AI-enabled sales technology
  • B2B consultative selling background in events, conferences, or media solutions
