The selectee will serve as an Evidence and Property Officer in the Office of Field Operations. Typical work assignments include:
- Managing the intake, processing, storage, and release of personal, evidentiary, abandoned, and recovered contraband obtained for criminal investigations.
- Advising all personnel requiring access or use of the secured storage area of the appropriate procedures to submit or retrieve items from the vault.
- Managing the accountable property program activities, to include the purchase, delivery, receipt, payment, inventory, distribution, disposition, repair, and inspection of all property items.
- Maintaining data and tracking evidence or property using computerized control systems; auditing evidence stores; and overseeing all evidentiary disposal/destruction activities.
