Lahey Institute of Urology, as a member of the Beth Israel Lahey Health System, is currently recruiting for a Physician Assistant for their APPFA accredited urology fellowship program. This world-renowned Division of Urology, recognized for its physician residency program, provides the ideal setting to offer the newest innovation in urologic education now in its 6th offering. It is our goal to provide a world recognized training program to promote advanced practice providers to deliver outstanding urologic care. It is our belief that in doing so we will foster excellence in the future of urologic practice.

Program Objective:

  • Physician Assistants (Associates) as autonomous urologic providers who train under the scope of their license to practice in a supportive learning environment with a supervising physician and identified mentors.

  • The fellowship program provides the Urology PA fellow with the urologic knowledge base/skill set to provide inpatient, outpatient, and intraoperative care that will be necessary to make sound clinical judgments and proficiently perform urologic skills.

  • The Urology PA fellow will be trained to work at the top of their scope of practice, while maintaining self-awareness of the importance of never exceeding their level of clinical competence.

Program Structure:

  • Lahey Hospital Institute of Urology APPFA accredited fellowship program is comprised of a 12-month period of didactic education and clinical rotations while working as a staff AP.

  • Schedule will be weekday hours with approximately 40 hours weekly based primarily in the Burlington and Peabody clinics with occasional travel to the satellite Lahey Urology clinics.

  • At least one or more years of advanced practice experience is preferred, and/or APs looking to make a career change

Qualifications:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

  • Valid PA license in Massachusetts

  • Current BLS and ACLS Certification

Pay Range:

$92,000.00 USD - $93,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
