A Fiberglass Patch Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of fiberglass repairs for Revel Boats. This role is crucial for maintaining the quality and safety of Revel Boats, ensuring they meet customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform tasks under time sensitive deadlines
- Identify and correct imperfections in the gel coat
- Sand/buff areas as needed
- Repair fiberglass molds and tooling using specialty gelcoats, buffing with wax, polish, compound, fillers, putty, and/or paste
- Use hand tools that may include gel coat spray equipment, drill, buffer, die grinder, polishing compounds, orbital sanders or other specialty tools.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience using hand tools/sanding/buffing
- Experienced with various pneumatic and power tools.
- Able to follow instructions.
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Experience working with fiberglass
- Able to squat, climb, bend, etc. as needed.
- Experience using an orbital sander
- Extremely detailed oriented
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent level of training
- One or more years of experience in general labor
Physical requirements include:
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally.
- Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
- Must be able to climb into and out of the interior of boats.
- Must be able to wear respirator.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
