Restaurant Manager Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth, successful shifts
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and manage restaurant team members
• Maintain high standards for hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, and service
• Create a welcoming environment and ensure guests have a positive dining experience
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Maintain restaurant and company operating standards
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety requirements
• Make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Support restaurant performance through effective labor and shift management

Restaurant Manager Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management experience required
• Strong leadership and team-development skills
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills
• Comfortable making decisions and solving problems during busy shifts
• Ability to remain composed when handling guest concerns or unexpected operational issues
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Dependable with consistent, predictable attendance
