Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Location: Modesto, CA
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Overtime: Occasional overtime available

Job Summary

We are currently hiring an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator for a beverage manufacturing facility in Modesto, CA. This position is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move raw materials, finished products, and pallets throughout the warehouse and production areas while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, move, and stack pallets of bottled beverages and production materials.
• Supply production lines with materials and remove finished products as needed.
• Load and unload trucks while ensuring product accuracy and minimizing damage.
• Perform routine forklift inspections before each shift and report equipment concerns.
• Maintain inventory organization and keep warehouse aisles clear.
• Follow all company safety policies, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and warehouse procedures.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent sit-down forklift experience required.
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of sit-down forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Must be able to stand, bend, walk, and work throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must successfully complete an on-site forklift evaluation prior to placement.
• Steel-toe or composite-toe boots required.
