Responsibilities




As a?Lead Gate Inspector?at ConGlobal, youll be at the forefront of maintaining safety and operational efficiency at our intermodal facility. In this role, you will oversee the inspection of all inbound and outbound units, ensuring that only authorized equipment and personnel are granted access to the premises. Youll play a key role in supporting the development of the Gate Inspector team by providing training, mentoring, and orientation to new employees, helping them succeed in their role while fostering a safe and effective work environment.

Key Responsibilities:






  • Conduct thorough inspections of inbound and outbound units using computer systems and/or handheld devices.








  • Ensure only authorized personnel and equipment enter or exit the premises, maintaining security protocols at all times.








  • Monitor and enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.








  • Lead and support the Gate Inspector team, providing guidance on operational procedures and best practices.








  • Train, mentor, and orient new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks.








  • Troubleshoot and address any issues or concerns related to gate operations and security measures.








  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve the overall efficiency of facility operations.








  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and gate activities using computer systems.








  • Support on-site logistics operations to ensure smooth, secure, and timely operations.






Qualifications








  • Prior experience in security, logistics, or similar operational roles preferred.








  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and security measures.




  • Ability to train, mentor, and lead a team effectively.








  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.








  • Comfortable working with computer systems and handheld devices.




  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.








  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.








  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting, etc.).


















Preferred Experience:






  • Experience in gate inspection, security, or related field in an intermodal or logistics environment.








  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
