General Maintenance and Operations Leader

Team Leader Duties

Serves as Team Leader for ten or more employees in accomplishing trades and labor work.

Passes on to other workers instructions received from supervisor and starts work (e.g. by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led).

Ensures that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.

Sees to it that there is enough work to keep everyone in work crew busy.

Inspects ISO containers.

Climbs ladders, scaffolds, and work from platforms. May work in cramped and awkward positions, reaches, bends, lifts while using tools, parts, and/or equipment.

Leads, coordinates, assigns, and reviews work of 10+ trades employees.

Ensures work methods, deadlines, and safety procedures are followed.

Provides on the spot guidance, demonstrations, and technical instruction.

Obtains materials, tools, and equipment to support work operations.

Monitors progress, resolves issues, and reports delays or training needs.

Works alongside crew performing journey-level tasks.

Ensures compliance with blueprints, specifications, and supervisory instructions.

Enforces safety, housekeeping, and equipment capacity rules.
