General Mechanic- Seasonal position

Overview: Have a summer of FUN! Join our team to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all rides and attractions at Darien Lake. Poistion begins at $20.00 Free admission to park and other Six Flags locations. Responsibilities: * Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot rides and attractions to insure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision. * Track ride parts inventory and submit request supply needs. * Peform required maintenance to ensure rides are clean and in compliance with manufacturers specifications. * Maintain compliance and documentation to manufacturer specifications, park standards, and state regulations. * To inspect rides and attractions and notify the department leadership of any hazards that may endanger the general public of Darien Lake staff. * Operate within the policies and procedures of Darien Lake. * Maintain good housekeeping standards in area of responsibility. * Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs. Qualifications: * Possess the ability to work at heights. * Must possess own hand tools. * Must have basic mechanical knowledge to include; gear reduction, pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical. * Perform assisgned tasks in a safe manner. * Must be able to read, understand and implement maintenance and inspection procedures. * Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. * Valid New York State Drivers License and successful completion of Darien Lake Vehicle Training program.
