The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for selecting, scanning, labeling, moving, preparing, restocking, and stacking products. This person is also responsible for counting and inspecting products and notifying supervision when damages or discrepancies exist. These associates are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and are expected to perform all assigned tasks.
Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality, as well as all corporate and site-specific policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Picking Responsibilities
- Picking functions include, but are not limited to, the use of a pallet jack to prepare orders with precision and meet customer demand.
- Associates must select products efficiently and accurately and place them in the corresponding areas.
- Associates will stack, pack, secure with bands, wrap with plastic, and label products according to customer requirements.
- All picking functions will be performed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Quality Control Responsibilities
- Quality control functions include the use of appropriate documentation to ensure that all products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly.
- Associates will verify that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting damages or discrepancies.
- Associates will stack, pack, wrap with plastic, and label products.
- All quality control functions will be performed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Safety, Order, and Compliance
- All associates are responsible for executing safety protocols and performing their tasks in a manner that promotes safety.
- Associates are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the facility, including a clean, organized, and safe work area, as well as supporting warehouse security.
- Associates will comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS standards.
Equipment Operation
- Equipment used may include, but is not limited to, a pallet jack.
- Associates are responsible for the care of equipment and reporting any issues.
- Associates will operate all equipment safely and efficiently following established methods of work.
Maintenance
- Perform or assist in the maintenance of facilities, outdoor areas, and equipment as assigned.
Other Responsibilities
- Work overtime as required by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
- Perform other assigned tasks.

Minimum Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during different times of the year (from mild to moderate conditions).

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Computer Skills
- None required
Language
- English (reading, writing, and conversation)
Math Skills
- Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, and perform related tasks in product handling, storage, and distribution
Other
- High attention to detail and precision in task performance
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to adapt effectively to changes and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution
- Current or previous certification in material handling equipment (MHE)

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or toxic or corrosive chemicals. The noise level is generally low to moderate.

Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $16.25 to $17.25 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors related to the position, such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
