Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Marketing to define our clients marketing strategy and build a predictable, scalable engine for growth. This is a brand and messaging-first role — we need someone who can sharpen how the our client talks about itself and establish a category narrative that makes buyers move, then back it up with demand generation that produces pipeline.

You will own the full marketing function: demand generation, product marketing, brand, content,

field and partner marketing. But this is not a role for a manager of managers who delegates

everything. We need someone leading from the front — setting strategy and executing in a

fast-moving environment, building with a lean team, and using AI and modern tooling to punch

well above headcount.

Your mission is to build a category-defining brand, create qualified pipeline, co-market with

partners, and equip their revenue organization to win.

This Role Is Responsible For

● Owning our marketing strategy, operating plan, budget, and performance

● Building a predictable pipeline engine aligned with revenue goals

● Defining positioning, messaging, and category narrative

● Leading demand generation, product marketing, content, brand, events, partner

marketing, and marketing operations

● Establishing clear attribution, reporting, and accountability for marketing performance

● Building and developing a lean, high-performing marketing team

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Leadership

● Develop and execute a marketing strategy aligned with growth goals and

$100M ARR trajectory

● Translate company objectives into clear priorities, programs, budgets, and performance

targets

● Build the marketing operating cadence and capabilities required to scale

● Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify growth

opportunities

● Allocate resources toward the programs and channels with the greatest potential impact

● Provide leadership with clear reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities

Demand Generation and Pipeline

● Own marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline targets

● Build integrated campaigns across digital, content, events, partners, and account-based

marketing

● Partner with Sales to define target accounts, improve lead quality, and increase

conversion

● Develop programs that support customer acquisition, expansion, and retention

● Continuously test and optimize channels, campaigns, messaging, and offers using a

disciplined, hypothesis-driven approach

● Stand up AI-native workflows for content production, campaign execution, and reporting

so a lean team can operate at the output of a much larger one

Product Marketing and Positioning

● Define and evolve positioning, messaging, and category narrative — this is

the single most important thing this hire will do

● Translate technical capabilities into clear, compelling customer value for buyers who are

skeptical of change

● Develop a strong understanding of buyers, users, use cases, and competitive

landscape

● Lead go-to-market planning for product launches and new capabilities

● Equip Sales and Partnerships with messaging, collateral, competitive intelligence, and

enablement

● Build customer stories and proof points that demonstrate measurable business value

Brand, Content, and Market Presence

● Strengthen brand and establish a consistent, bold voice across channels

● Develop a content strategy that builds awareness, educates the market, and generates

demand

● Increase visibility through thought leadership, public relations, events, and

industry participation

● Oversee the website, organic search strategy, social presence, and digital experience

● Drive category-level thinking - our client has an opportunity to define the narrative for an

industry being modernized

Team and Cross-Functional Leadership

● Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing marketing team

● Set clear expectations, establish accountability, and provide regular coaching

● Partner closely with Sales on pipeline goals, campaign execution, and sales enablement

● Collaborate with Product to bring customer and market insights into product strategy

● Work with Partnerships on joint campaigns, co-marketing, and ecosystem development

● Partner with Customer Success to support adoption, advocacy, retention, and expansion

Requirements

● 8+ years of B2B marketing experience, including leadership experience at a SaaS or

technology company — ideally across a 20→200 or growth-stage arc where you had to

build the plane while flying it

● Brand and messaging-first orientation: you believe the narrative comes before the

channel, and you have experience building positioning for technical or complex products

that had to win over skeptical buyers

● Demonstrated success building marketing programs that generated measurable pipeline

and revenue — you've been held accountable to a pipeline number and hit it

● Generalist profile: experience spanning product marketing, demand gen, content, and

brand — candidates who are strong in only one lane are not the right fit

● Hands-on operator who can set strategy and execute; not a manager of managers

waiting for a large team to build under them

● Fluent, hands-on use of AI tools in your actual workflow — building agentic workflows,

prompting for content or analysis, or using AI to scale a lean team; you should be able to

speak concretely to what you've built, not just that you "use AI"

● Strong command of marketing analytics, attribution, funnel metrics, and budget

management

● Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex technical value

into clear narratives for buyers, executives, and the board
