7pm-7am Shift

Position Summary

The Heavy Duty Wrecker Driver is responsible for safely operating heavy duty tow trucks to recover, tow, and transport commercial vehicles, equipment, and other large loads. This role requires advanced driving skill, strong mechanical awareness, and the ability to perform physically demanding recovery tasks in all weather conditions. The driver represents the company on scene and must maintain professionalism, safety, and efficiency at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate heavy duty wreckers and recovery equipment to tow or recover various vehicles/heavy equipment.
Perform complex recoveries including rollovers, winch outs, load shifts, and accident scene operations.
Inspect, maintain, and secure all rigging, chains, straps, winches, and towing equipment.
Conduct pre trip and post trip inspections of the wrecker and report mechanical issues.
Communicate with dispatch, law enforcement, customers, and other responders on scene.
Secure loads safely and in compliance with DOT and company standards.
Complete required paperwork, digital logs, and service reports.
Respond to calls during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized truck and uphold company safety standards.

Qualifications
Valid CDL Class A.
Clean driving record meeting DOT and insurance standards.
Experience operating heavy-duty wreckers preferred.
Knowledge of rigging, recovery techniques, and load securement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements:

Job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, working outdoors in the environment can be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. Lifting over 50lbs is a job requirement must not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights.
