- Operate sanitation truck.
- Empty and service campus trash and recycling huts, as assigned.
- Operate sanitation truck during weekend events as needed.
- Wash outside of truck as needed and clean inside at least once during each week.
- Fuel and grease truck at least once during each week.
- Provide periodic service of sanitation truck and repairs on heavy and light equipment (e.g.: change oil, lubrication, general and routine repairs).
- Notify supervisors of major service and repairs needed on sanitation truck and all other equipment.
- Service all campus dumpsters daily or as needed.
- Provide waste hauling (e.g.: large items, recycling, trash huts, etc.) as needed.
- Assist mechanic, when required, on repairs the equipment operator is responsible for.
- Serve as a back up for
ash hauling from Heating Plant and back up for mail delivery truck. - Operate equipment required for general grounds maintenance to include summer and winter operations (e.g.: front-end loader, skid steer loader, wheeled lawn mowers, etc.).
- Operate specialized equipment (e.g.: rotary snowplow, street sweeper, etc.).
- Operate other equipment (e.g.: tractors, trucks, etc.).
- Assist in the supervision of student and part-time employees.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Two years' experience in the operations of equipment related to landscaping, grounds and/or sanitation truck
- One-year experience maintaining and repairing equipment
- North Dakota Class "B" driver's license with air brake endorsement or equivalent must be in place, upon hire.
- Motorized heavy equipment (e.g. front loader, forklift, mail truck, sanitation truck, tandem, chemical application sprayers, single axle trucks, tractors, skid steer loaders, etc.); computer skills.
