Our dedicated trucks operate 24/7, 365 days a year, in all types of weather. Our work is not seasonal, ensuring consistent pay you can count on!

Highlights

  • Pay: $109,000-$112,000 + Annually
  • Schedule: 5 on 2 off (60 hours a week). Tuesday thru Saturday from 5am to 5pm with Sunday and Monday Off
  • Requirements: Must have a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Pay Frequency: Paid weekly
  • Home Time: Home daily
  • Experience: Previous experience hauling Hazmat is NOT required

Responsibilities / Job Duties

Velocity Rail Solutions drivers are responsible for loading, transporting, and transferring red-dyed diesel into trains on an 'on-call' basis for the Railroad. On-the-job training will be provided for qualified individuals. The Railroad maintains dedicated trucks and drivers on duty 24/7/365, including nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring consistent paychecks. You will be paid for a full 12 hours each shift, including breaks, lunches, and any wait time for dispatches. You will be paid for all 'on-duty' hours, regardless of the specific task you are dispatched for.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Must have a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Must be able to clear all background checks required by the company, customer, and government.
  • Responsible for maintaining all required licenses and certifications.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Must know when to ask for help.
  • Moderate computer skills required.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to work various shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays (shifts may rotate).

Physical Requirements

  • Able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel, and climb on and off elevated surfaces.
  • May have to walk long distances on paved, unmaintained, or uneven surfaces.
  • Able to climb in and out of a truck cab multiple times per shift and climb a ladder or steps 10 or more times per day.
  • Able to drive and work outside in adverse weather conditions.
  • Willing to work with liquid non-hazardous and dry bulk materials.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.
