Apply NowCommercial Engineer
We're looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.
The Commercial Engineer will directly sell high density liquid cooling solutions (HDLC) and intelligent power distribution units (iPDUs) to end customers in the European data center market.
The Commercial Engineer will combine rapid sales and consultative approach, relying on their technical expertise (in HVAC, electrical or mechanical) to propose cooling and rack power supply solutions tailored to the immediate needs of customers.
They will work closely with the commercial development team on larger projects and ensure customer satisfaction from the first contact to the delivery phase.
Direct client engagement:
- Identify and approach enterprise data centers, small cloud providers, and other end-users with needs for high density cooling upgrade or rack power distribution.
- Travel on-site to establish relationships and perform precise assessments of cooling and power needs of data centers.
Complete sales cycle management:
- Take charge of the entire sales cycle for opportunities from qualifying prospects to negotiation and conclusion, through commercial proposal.
- Use various commercial levers (cold prospecting, field visits, demonstrations at trade shows) to achieve sales objectives of products such as liquid distribution units, rear door heat exchangers, and iPDUs.
Technically high-value solution sales:
- Provide high-value advice by translating the technical specifics of HDLC and iPDU products into concrete benefits for the customer (efficiency improvement, capacity increase, space optimization).
- With an engineering background, respond expertly to technical questions on cooling capacity, integration with existing HVAC systems, electrical loads, or PDU network management.
Collaboration on complex projects:
- For large-scale or long-term sales opportunities (such as creating a new data room requiring the complete design of a secondary cooling loop), work closely with the Business Development Manager (BDM) and the Solutions Architect.
- Provide practical feedback on client issues and contribute to the adaptation of proposals, while leaving long-term strategic direction to the Business Development Manager.
Client relationship and account management:
- Ensure management and follow-up of relationships with key clients, and encourage recurring business.
- Monitor client satisfaction during installation (supported by project teams) and coordinate with service teams for any after-sales support.
- Report to internal teams on client feedback on product performance or emerging needs, to contribute to continuous improvement.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field) highly recommended.
- 5+ years of technical or field sales experience, ideally in the data center cooling or power infrastructure sector.
- In-depth knowledge of the European data center market and mastery of cooling (CRAC, liquid cooling) and power distribution technologies required.
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and manage client accounts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to travel regionally, and perfect command of English (knowledge of other European languages is a plus).
WE HAVE:
- A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day.
- Commitment to strengthen communities where our employees live and work.
- Core values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customers. We're known for being: innovative & adaptable, dedicated to absolute integrity, focused on the customer first, respectful and team oriented, optimistic and energizing, accountable for performance.
- Benefits to support the lives of our employees.
