Join a leading company in the aerospace industry that specializes in manufacturing fiber optic connectors and cable harnesses. We are seeking a dedicated 1st shift Inspector with a minimum of 6 months of mechanical inspection experience to ensure the highest quality standards in our products.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection of parts and sub-assemblies.
• Work with tolerances of +/-.005.
• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, customer specifications, planning documents, and requirements to determine the inspection process.
• Inspect parts using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure conformance to customer specifications and requirements.
• Utilize pin gauges and thread gauges for inspection.
• Record inspection results on appropriate forms and input data into the computer to make decisions on the final disposition of discrepant parts.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of quality experience in aerospace or mechanical industries.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and pin gauges.
• Experience in a machine shop setting.
• Ability to work with tolerances of +/- 5 thousandths or less, e.g., 0.005.
• Job shop experience is a must.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with aluminum machine parts is preferable.
• Bilingual in Vietnamese is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a clean aerospace manufacturing environment with over 150 employees on-site. Operate within an ITAR-compliant facility. The 1st shift schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 6 AM to 12 PM, totaling 56 hours a week. Closed-toe shoes are required, though they do not need to be steel-toe.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
