VHC Health is seeking a motivated and clinically strong Physician Assistant to join our expanding Interventional Radiology program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative procedural practice providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology services.
Opportunity Highlights
The Physician Assistant will work closely with Interventional Radiologists to support the continuum of care for patients undergoing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, consultation, peri-procedural management, follow-up care, and collaboration across multiple specialties.
The position is hospital-based on the main VHC Health campus in Arlington, Virginia and supports a growing program providing comprehensive interventional radiology services across the health system.
Responsibilities Include:
Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
Evaluate and manage patients before and after IR procedures
Round on hospitalized patients and coordinate ongoing care plans
Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory studies
Assist with inpatient and outpatient consultations
Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and recovery expectations
Document clinical encounters and procedural care plans
Assist with quality initiatives, protocol development, and program growth efforts
Perform procedures within scope of practice and credentialing requirements

Candidate Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
NCCPA certification required
Current or eligible Virginia Physician Assistant license
DEA certification or eligibility
Experience in Interventional Radiology, Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine preferred
Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Compensation Range: $110,406.40 - $209,768.00.
