About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support inventory operations within our cannabis processing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing materials, supporting production teams, and ensuring products and supplies are properly tracked throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate is dependable, process-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment. While cannabis industry experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right individual who has a strong background in inventory, logistics, warehouse operations, or retail backroom management.
Essential Responsibilities
Inventory Control
Receive, count, sort, and organize incoming inventory, packaging materials, and production supplies.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory management systems.
Verify inventory quantities and ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or supply needs to management.
Warehouse Operations
Organize warehouse storage areas for maximum efficiency and accessibility.
Stage materials for production, packaging, and shipping departments.
Assist with receiving shipments, transfers, and outbound orders.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas.
Inventory Auditing & Accuracy
Perform routine cycle counts and assist with scheduled inventory audits.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Ensure physical inventory matches inventory records.
Assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate documentation of inventory transactions and product movements.
Follow all company SOPs related to inventory handling, storage, and documentation.
Support internal compliance initiatives by ensuring products are properly organized and traceable.
Assist with inventory documentation required for audits and operational reporting.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with production, packaging, shipping, and operations teams to support daily workflow.
Communicate inventory concerns, damaged materials, or discrepancies promptly.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
Required
Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or retail backroom operations.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Comfortable using computers for inventory tracking and data entry.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience using ERP, warehouse management, or inventory software.
Background in food manufacturing, distribution, retail inventory, or regulated production environments.
Cannabis industry experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
