Laminator Operator
The Laminator Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring laminating equipment to produce finished material that meets quality and production standards. This role requires strong machine operation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to safely handle materials up to 40 lbs.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and monitor laminating machinery according to work orders/specs.
- Load/unload rolls, films, adhesives, and related materials as needed.
- Perform basic machine adjustments (tension, speed, alignment, temperature/pressure as applicable).
- Inspect product during and after runs (appearance, adhesion, wrinkles, bubbles, alignment, defects).
- Accurately complete production paperwork (run logs, counts, scrap, downtime reasons).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S/GMP practices if applicable).
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
- Communicate issues to leads/maintenance (machine malfunctions, quality concerns, material shortages).
- Prior experience operating production equipment (laminating/coating/converting/printing experience is a plus).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability/attendance.
- Machine Operator experience (required skill on the job).
- Familiarity with roll-to-roll processes, web handling, and defect detection.
- Basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance (blade changes, cleaning, set-up support).
