Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Apply NowWCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a prestigious skilled nursing facility in Manhattan, NY.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage patient care based oAn each patient's individual needs.
- Interview patients and accurately document medical history and physical condition.
- Obtain and monitor patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
- Provide routine nursing care and monitor patients' overall health and well-being.
- Assist with patient comfort and activities of daily living as needed.
- Assist physicians and Registered Nurses with patient care and clinical procedures.
- Prepare and properly handle specimens for laboratory courier pickup.
- Provide wound care and monitor wounds for changes or signs of infection.
- Prepare and administer injections and enemas as ordered.
- Monitor and provide care for catheters.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards.
Requirements:
- Completion of a state-approved LPN program.
- Current LPN license in the state of practice, or willingness to obtain the appropriate license.
- Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience required.
- At least 6 months of Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Schedule:
- Full-Time: 5x8-hour shifts
- Part-Time: 3x8-hour shifts
- Rotating weekends and holidays required
- Day, evening, and night positions available.
- Day Shift: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Evening Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
- Night Shift: 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM
