Location: Tulsa, OK (100% Onsite) Duration: 3 months (Possible Temp to Hire Contract) Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour on W2 Standard schedule: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM Initial training schedule: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Description

If you are a warehouse or shipping professional looking for an opportunity to grow, client has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Tulsa, Oklahoma location, we have an open position in our shipping department. This position performs necessary transactions to ensure that products are shipped to the customers in a timely and accurate manner. This position performs duties such as packing and loading shipments as required while working alongside our material handlers and other production teams for shipping needs.

Responsibilities

• Process shipments based on client and customer routing guides
• Operate various packaging tools, such as nail guns and packing foam machine to box, crate, and secure shipments
• Work alongside the quality department to ensure that the quality guidelines are being met for all outgoing packages
• Prepare bill of lading, packing list, commercial invoice, and shipping labels for domestic and international orders using shipping software
• Record needed information such as quantity, weight, and dimensions on pick slips for outgoing packages
• Work cohesively with production teams to ensure timely shipments for product lines

Must Have

• Minimum of high school diploma plus six (6) months of general shipping or logistics experience
• Must be PC proficient
• Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing transactions and dealing with part numbers, quantities, locations, and weights
• Must be able to perform unassisted lifting to 25 pounds and assisted lifting over 25 pounds
• Forklift experience
• Ability to interface with sales for tracking and shipment details
• Must be comfortable with e-mail and phone communication
• Prior experience with client products and processes
