ABOUT THE RESTAURANT :
Sergeant Ma, the latest concept from Hi Neighbor Hospitality, brings together Partner and Executive Chef Jason Halverson’s favorite things: exceptional hospitality, vibrant California cooking, and the life lessons that shaped his career—be generous, feed people well, and always make room for one more chair. Rooted in Asian tradition and inspired by Northern California’s seasonal bounty, it all comes together in a waterfront dining experience overlooking Mission Creek, across from Oracle Park.
We are seeking experienced, hard working LINE COOK with fine dining experience and a working knowledge of all stations -
*Responsible for the daily prep, managing and executing a station during service, in a timely and efficient manner
*Required to practice proper food storage and handling.
*Must be able to read and follow recipes and standards, and maintain health department, food quality, and restaurant standards
*Ability to work as a team, and be able to help jump in to assist in others stations as needed
*Demonstrate a calm and composed demeanor while working in a fast paced kitchen environment.
*Must be able to stand for extended hours at a time and carry up to 50 lbs as there will be kitchen equipment and cases/bags of food items to be moved or put away on a daily basis.
