Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician | Lewisburg, PA | Weekday Schedule | 2027

Med Ninjas is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician for a short-term locum tenens opportunity in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time, adult-focused position supporting a newly established community hematology and medical oncology practice located within an acute-care hospital.

• Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
• Setting: Hospital-based outpatient clinic with inpatient consultations
• Coverage Period: Late November 2026 through January 4, 2027
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Flexibility: Four days per week may be considered
• Call: Weeknight and weekend call participation
• Patient Population: Adults, age 18 and older
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patients per day, with volume expected to grow
• EMR: Epic
• Position Available: 1

The physician will provide general community-based hematology and medical oncology care, including:

• Evaluating and managing adult hematology and oncology patients
• Providing approximately 60% oncology and 40% hematology coverage
• Completing routine clinic documentation
• Coordinating patient care with clinical and administrative staff
• Providing inpatient consultations when required
• Participating in weeknight and weekend call coverage

The clinic is located within the hospital, providing convenient access when an inpatient consultation is needed.

This is a newly established hematology and medical oncology practice supported by:

• One employed physician
• One registered nurse
• One medical assistant
• One patient navigator
• Two front-office team members
• Additional clinical and administrative personnel

The affiliated acute-care hospital has approximately 131 beds.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification in hand
• Active DEA
• Ability to complete facility credentialing
• Full disclosure of malpractice history
• Current NPDB self-query dated within six months of presentation
• Exact availability for the requested coverage period

Licensing candidates without an active Pennsylvania license or an IMLC LOQ in hand cannot be presented for this assignment.

• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days
• Full compliance documentation is required before the start date
• Temporary privileges may be considered for urgent needs involving Pennsylvania-licensed physicians with clean, non-complex files
