Our client in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Neurological Surgery Nurse Practitioner to begin a 42-day assignment starting Jul 13, 2026. This role involves a 7 on 7 off rotation, with 7pm - 7am shifts across three hospital locations. The successful candidate will focus on pre-operative and post-operative rounding, managing a patient population that includes trauma (spine and crani) as well as elective spine and crani patients, with no operating room responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work a 7 on 7 off rotation, potentially varying across three hospital locations week to week.
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative rounding.
• Manage a diverse patient population including trauma patients (spine and crani) and elective spine and crani patients.
• Conduct removal of drains.
• Perform shunt adjustments.
• Participate in trauma and practice call.
• No operating room duties are required for this assignment.

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Neurological Surgery and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC).
• EMR: Epic.
