Locums Interventional Cardiology Physician in California - STEMI Program, Block Schedule

This Interventional Cardiology assignment supports a growing STEMI and PCI program with a structured block schedule designed around extended time off between coverage rotations. The role blends procedures, consults, and clinic responsibilities within a collaborative hospital setting.

Highlights

• 7-on/7-off and 14-on/14-off scheduling options
• New STEMI and PCI program growth opportunity
• Ongoing long-term coverage need
• Dedicated physician, APP, and clinical support onsite

Practice & Cases

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient Interventional Cardiology coverage
• STEMI, PCI, TEE, cardioversions, and pacemaker procedures
• Weekend coverage includes echo, nucs, and stress test interpretation
• No EP or cardiothoracic surgery cases onsite

Schedule

• 24-hour coverage blocks from 7a-7a
• Monday dedicated primarily to procedures
• Tuesday through Thursday clinic-focused workflow
• PRN coverage opportunities available alongside block schedules

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Active California license required
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA required

• Travel and lodging accommodations available
• Rental car and airfare reimbursement included
