• Location: Topeka, Kansas
• Contract Type: Locum Tenens
• Start Date: August 1, 2026
• Assignment Length: Long-term, 6+ months
• Schedule Needs: Swing and night shift coverage

Shift Options

• 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Weekend swing: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Emergency Department Snapshot

• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 34,000 visits
• ED Beds: 22
• Hospital Beds: 378
• Patient Volume: Approximately 2 patients per hour
• Trauma Designation: Level III
• EMR: Epic
• Care Model: Physician and APP team model
• Supervision: APP supervision required

Requirements

• ABEM or AOBEM
• Emergency Medicine residency trained
• Active Kansas medical license required
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required
• Recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Comfortable supervising APPs
