About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hematology and Oncology MD in Indiana!
We are seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician for a 120-day assignment in Indiana, beginning Oct 5, 2026. This role involves a primary focus on outpatient care, with on-call duties handling new consults at the hospital. Nurse Practitioners will round on existing patients, and new consults will be assigned to the on-call provider after evaluation. Shifts include a mix of 10-hour and 24-hour schedules, with potential Saturday and/or Sunday rounding only.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Primary focus on outpatient care.
- Handle new consults at the hospital when on-call.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners who round on existing patients.
- Manage new consults assigned after initial evaluation.
- See 70% Oncology cases.
- See 30% Hematology cases, primarily benign.
- Perform rounding only on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
