This 236-bed regional referral center serves central Nebraska and northern Kansas with specialized care across multiple disciplines. The facility holds the distinction of operating the region's only Level II Trauma Center, supporting a broad scope of acute and critical care services. The medical center maintains the infrastructure and clinical resources necessary to support inpatient pulmonary and critical care operations.

Central Nebraska offers a range of regional attractions and natural experiences for clinicians on assignment. The area is recognized as a destination for sandhill crane migration, drawing nature enthusiasts from across the country. Visitors may explore diverse outdoor and recreational opportunities throughout the region during time away from clinical duties.

The clinician will provide inpatient pulmonary critical care coverage on 24-hour shifts, with rounding and patient consultations during daytime hours and on-call responsibilities for the remainder of the day and night. Board certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is required for this assignment.
