Machinist III

Eatons IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Machinist III.

The hourly rate for this position is $34.00 per hour. The hours for this shift are 5:30 am - 2:00 pm.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What youll do Perform operations such as drilling, tapping, reaming, and boring on a variety of work requiring a degree of skill while ensuring dimensional accuracy is maintained

Create setups and operate CNC machine to a specific program as per part number and work instruction sheet via utilization of DNC (direct numerical control) link on computer

Work from drawings and specifications using a variety of precision measuring instruments

Read and interpret engineering drawings and have an understanding of Geometric Tolerance

Work under general supervision; work is subject to progress and final inspection

Inspect work after completion as well as complete all appropriate inspection paperwork

Skilled on both lathes and Mill/Turn 5-Axis

Rotate to various types of machines in order to be competent in their operation

Perform Lean Initiatives including Continuous Improvement

The employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates

Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner; understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals; keep assigned work?area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards

Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications Basic (Required) Qualifications High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Minimum five (5) years previous work experience as a Machinist

Must have lathe experience 2-3 axis (Mazak experience preferred)

No relocation benefit is offered for this position; only candidates within a 50?mile radius of Irvine will be considered (Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation)

Preferred Qualifications Previous work experience in the Aerospace Industry

Milling 4-Axis Experience

Mazak machining experience
