You will oversee a team of 10-15 maintenance technicians in keeping our Louisville, KY Distribution Center maintained and running. You will report to the Manager DC Facilities. You will provide maintenance support for our 2nd shift maintenance team working Monday through Friday.
You Will:
- Review work requests and respond or assign to your team to ensure projects are completed within deadlines
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development to team members to create an environment that promotes growth and safety. This includes performance evaluations, recognition, and disciplinary action
- Identify and diagnose problems and recommend solutions for all equipment, building, and system failures, including automation and robotic equipment
- Make recommendations to improve performance, efficiencies, and safety of Operational Equipment such as conveyors, power industrial equipment, goods to person
- Analyze preventive and predictive maintenance programs for effectiveness or safety and develop programs where none exist
- Use the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to create preventative maintenance schedules and work assignments to repair, replace, or remove equipment, fixtures, or furniture
- Partner with Operations and other departments within Grainger and with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to limit impact on operations
You Have:
- 5+ years experience in large warehouse or distribution center maintenance operations
- Experience leading a team of maintenance technicians
- Experience maintaining building management systems and automated material handling equipment such as I/O device network systems (e.g. Profibus/CanBus/Ethernet, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Motor controls/Drives, and Power Distribution Systems)
- Knowledge of Fire Protection systems, Electrical controls and distribution
