The Material Handler is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and production operations by safely receiving, moving, storing, and handling materials throughout the facility. This position requires a reliable, safety-conscious individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to be trained in multiple areas of the operation. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, move, stage, and store materials, ingredients, supplies, and finished products as needed.
  • Assist with material handling activities to support warehouse and production operations.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently throughout designated areas.
  • Verify materials and products against receiving or other applicable documentation for accuracy.
  • Maintain proper organization and storage of materials in assigned areas.
  • Follow established procedures for material handling, storage, rotation, and inventory control.
  • Operate material-handling equipment as authorized and trained.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety, food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
  • Participate in required training and cross-training across multiple areas of the operation.
  • Communicate material shortages, damaged products, discrepancies, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Work cooperatively with warehouse, production, quality, and other departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


 

  • 0–2 years of warehouse, material handling, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
  • Reliable and dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as required based on company and operational needs.
  • Willingness to learn new processes, participate in training, and accept constructive feedback.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established procedures.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become forklift certified is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety, food safety, quality, and company policies.
