Material Handler Supervisor

Duties

Plan, direct, coordinate and review activities of the technical staff engaged in the receipt packaging, issues and disposition of supplies and equipment.

Oversight responsibility and accountability during the receipt and transfer of controlled and sensitive material to designated storage areas.

Responsible for training of appropriate personnel in the handling and storage of temperature sensitive medical products (TSMP)

Ensure all hazardous material standards pertaining to all assigned areas are met, to include training records, warning devices and work practice precautions dealing with storing of hazardous materials.

Select workers and assigns tasks to be performed.

Develops performance standards, counsels employees on performance, and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.
