Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is currently hiring for a PRN (As Needed) Medication Aide (MA40). The scheduled requirement for this position is at least 24 hours a month with 16 of those hours on a weekend. One required holiday a year.
The Medication Aide requires an active, good-standing MA40 and CNA license required.
Ideal Candidate:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
- Active CNA license in the state of NE required.
- Active MA40 license in the state of NE required.
Essential Job Duties:
- Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
- Assists with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
- Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
- Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/overlapping senior/client/caregiver/team member/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
- Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of team member preference.
- Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
- Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.
Compensation:
At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $19.00-$21.28 per hour for MA's based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
