Job Summary - The Team Leader performs tests in a specific department of the laboratory. The primary responsibilities of the Team Leader are to supervise the technical and personnel aspects of a specific department, such as test performance, procedure quality, instrument performance, daily activities of patient testing, employee evaluations and competency. He/she will assist with troubleshooting instrument and procedure problems, maintaining quality control and student instruction as well as performing routine and special procedures in the department. He/she also interprets and reports results to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements - ASCP certification - Prior laboratory experience and knowledge, including microbiology and supervisory
