A large, integrated healthcare system is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead Cardiac Catheterization Lab operations at an acute-care hospital. The ideal candidate is a clinically strong cardiovascular nurse leader who can build team capability, drive quality outcomes, and manage a high-acuity procedural environment. This is a full-time leadership opportunity within a well-resourced, physician-partnered cardiovascular program.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and clinical leadership for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab on a 24/7 basis
- Manage staffing, on-call scheduling, and resource planning for a high-volume cath lab
- Lead, coach, and develop cath lab nursing and tech staff through performance management and mentorship
- Monitor and drive quality metrics, patient safety outcomes, and infection control compliance
- Collaborate with cardiovascular physicians, surgeons, and hospital leadership on service line strategy and improvement initiatives
- Oversee department budget including labor, supply chain, and capital equipment planning
- Ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state health department standards
- Manage hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes for all cath lab personnel
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning for adverse events and near misses
- Serve as the primary clinical resource and escalation point for complex procedural or patient care issues
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state of Oregon required
- Minimum of 3 years of cardiovascular or cath lab nursing experience
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing leadership or charge nurse experience
- Strong clinical knowledge of cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and EP procedures
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop clinical teams in a high-acuity environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a related field is preferred
