The posted compensation range of $25.00 - $28.02 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Nursing Assistant (NA), you will perform essential direct patient care, working under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, often while actively pursuing your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Every day you will provide comprehensive patient care, including bathing, oral care, feeding, ambulation, and monitoring vital signs. You will also manage other duties such as inventory, documentation, clerical tasks, dietary assistance, light housekeeping, and computer input, directly supporting the nursing unit's operational needs. To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong capability for basic patient care, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all tasks, and effectively collaborate within the nursing team to ensure optimal patient well-being and a supportive care environment, showcasing dedication to advancing your healthcare career.

PROVIDE FOR PATIENTS' PERSONAL CARE 1. Take vital signs. 2. Cleansing bath. 3. Back and skin care. 4. Oral hygiene. 5. Care of dentures. 6. Hair and nail care. 7. Perineal care. 8. Shaving male patients.

ASSIST PATIENT WITH TOILET NEEDS 1. Bedpan, urinal, commode. 2. Assist with elimination aides; Colostomy care and irrigation and voided, enemas.

MAINTAIN A CLEAN AND NEAT ENVIRONMENT 1. Make beds. 2. Maintain clean, safe environment for patients. 3. Keep patients' equipment clean. 4. Incorporate Dignity Standard for Nurse Bundling into daily routine.

ASSIST PATIENT WITH DIET AND NOURISHMENT 1. Assist with meals. 2. Feed patients, as necessary. 3. Assist with menus. 4. Keep patients supplied with fresh drinking water. 5. Measure and record oral intake and output.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • High School Graduate General Studies or 2 years equivalent work experience, upon hire or
  • High School GED General Studies or 2 years equivalent work experience, upon hire and
  • Certificate Other Certified Nurse Assistantcertification training, upon hire or
  • Completion of a nursingfundamentals class and are current enrollment in an accredited nursing school, upon hire or
  • A graduate from an accredited LVN or RN nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
