What You'll Do as an OB/GYN Hospitalist
Care for pregnant patients presenting emergently, regardless of circumstance
Build strong relationships with nursing staff and hospital personnel
Support private practice physicians through coverage and collaboration
Manage unassigned patients and evaluate triage cases
Provide consultation to the Emergency Department
Monitor labor and deliver babies
Perform surgery and surgical assists
Evaluate and treat postpartum patients
Support OB resident and medical student education
Provide nursing support and education
Participate in emergency drills and simulations
Help develop best practices and participate in clinical trials
Lead daily interdisciplinary board rounds to improve patient safety
