Position Summary
White Plains Hospital is seeking Board Certified OB Hospitalists (Laborists) to join a well-established, high-performing program in a busy tertiary care setting.
White Plains Hospital is a proud member of the Montefiore Health System, serving as its tertiary hub of advanced care in the Hudson Valley.
Position Highlights
Per diem employed position. Minimum 2 shifts a month.
12-hour shifts with 24-hour in-house coverage
No call requirement
Approximately 3,000 deliveries annually

Job Responsibilities
Provide in-house obstetric coverage for L&D, including triage, labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Evaluate and manage obstetric emergencies in collaboration with the L&D team.
Serve as first assist for cesarean deliveries, as needed.
Monitor L&D activity, including fetal tracings and patient management plans.
Provide postpartum care and clinical supervision of APPs.
Collaborate with obstetricians, Certified Nurse Midwives, nurses, and other members of the care team.
Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, and obstetric emergency initiatives.

Qualifications
MD or DO
Active or eligible for New York State medical licensure
Completion of an OB/GYN residency
Board Certified in OB/GYN
2+ year experience preferred
New graduates with OB/GYN Hospitalist Fellowship training will be considered
