Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract
Apply NowMake a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Detroit, MI. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while working in a hospital setting. This role involves patient assessment, treatment planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, supervision of assistants and students, and documentation in accordance with department policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience working in an acute care or hospital environment preferred.
- Ability to perform patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide family/caregiver training.
- Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT students preferred.
Assignment Details
- Part-time schedule: 4 shifts per week with 5 shifts in rotation (4x5).
- May be required to float to other facilities as needed.
